A collaboration between guitarist/singer/songwriter Willy Porter and the Carpe Diem String Quartet, The Mealies have created an ensemble outside of their own identities. The Mealies, comprised of violins, viola, cello, guitar, and vocals, defy categorization. It’s not just Carpe Diem adding strings to Porter’s songs.
