On Wednesday, July 30, the Schauer Arts & Activities Center is hosting a listening session with community members from 7:00 to 8:30 pm. As a regional non-profit center for the arts, the Schauer Center invites residents from throughout Washington, Dodge, and Waukesha counties and beyond to attend.

“As we begin to develop our new strategic plan, we want to hear from community members of all backgrounds, whether they’ve participated with us in the past or not,” states Executive Director Brenda Lee Johnston. “We want to know their thoughts, ideas, perceptions, and interests so that we can create a collective vision for the Schauer Center.”

Consultant Megan Matthews from UW-Whitewater will be leading the discussion and posing questions to participants who will be welcomed and free to share their opinions. The Schauer Center’s Board of Trustees and staff will work with Matthews the following evening in order to develop a strategic plan based on what the community and other key stakeholders share.

In order to prepare for the event, the Schauer Center requests that those planning to attend please RSVP by Monday, July 28 to Sandy@SchauerCenter.org or 262-670-0560, ext. 3. Those who are unable to RSVP are more than welcome to still attend the session and join the conversation. Light refreshments will be provided.
