SCC & SYSO Spring Concert

× Under the direction of Lori Hassig, the Schauer Concert and Show Choirs each have 12 members in 4th-12th grades and under the direction of Abby Bordak-Raaflaub, the Schauer Children’s Choir has 13 members in grades 5K-3rd. The Schauer Youth String Orchestra consists of Presto Strings and Bravura Strings. The Presto Strings group is made up of five students and Bravura Strings has 11 members. The Orchestra is under the direction of Phil Scales, who has led the group since 2010. The program will include traditional and contemporary tunes for the entire family to enjoy including Mississippi Sawyer, When Johnny Comes Marching Home, and The Pink Panther.

Following the concert there will be a complimentary reception in the Schauer Center’s Pikes Peak banquet room. The audience is invited to meet the performers, instructors, and to learn more about the choir and orchestra program offerings.
