Schauer Youth String Orchestra Summer Workshop
Beginning to Intermediate String Players (No Audition Required)

Beginning to intermediate level students are invited to join us for five days of music learning and music making! Incorporated within each rehearsal will be activities designed to enhance your sight-reading skills, rhythmic reading, vibrato, and bowing techniques. Chamber ensembles may be formed depending on enrollment and participation (workshop requires a minnimum of 10 enrolled students). We will work in an atmosphere that promotes positive relationships and self esteem. This workshop concludes with a FREE performance for friends and family on FRI July 14th at 11:00 AM.
No AUDITION REQUIRED. However, students should be able to read basic musical notation, have some experience with performing in an orchestra/group setting, and/or have taken private lessons.
